HX TERMS OF SERVICE

Effective Date: August 28, 2026

Welcome to HX.

HX is a professional social network for people and organizations in the hospitality industry. HX allows members to create professional profiles, publish posts, participate in conversations, follow people and organizations, discover hospitality topics and markets, view and post Jobs, share People Moves, participate in professional communities of interest through feeds and topics, and use other hospitality-focused networking features.

HX is operated by SalesHospitality, a DBA of Laine Brain Music, LLC (“HX,” “SalesHospitality,” “we,” “us,” or “our”).

By accessing or using HX, including through GetOnHX.com, you agree to these Terms of Service.

If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use HX.

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to create an HX account.

By creating an account, you represent that:

  • you are legally capable of entering into these Terms;
  • the information you provide is truthful and reasonably accurate;
  • you are not prohibited from using HX under applicable law; and
  • you will comply with these Terms and the HX Community Rules.

HX is intended primarily for hospitality professionals, hotel operators, owners, sales professionals, revenue professionals, technology providers, vendors, consultants, job seekers, employers, and other legitimate participants in the hospitality industry.

2. Your HX Account

HX uses passwordless authentication, including secure magic-link authentication.

You are responsible for:

  • maintaining control of the email address associated with your account;
  • protecting access to your devices and email account;
  • keeping your profile information reasonably accurate;
  • promptly notifying HX if you believe your account has been compromised; and
  • all activity performed through your account unless the activity results from a security failure for which HX is legally responsible.

You may not:

  • create an account for another person without authorization;
  • sell, transfer, or rent your account;
  • impersonate another person or organization;
  • create deceptive or misleading identities; or
  • attempt to bypass account security.

HX may reserve usernames associated with HX, SalesHospitality, protected system functions, or names that could reasonably mislead users into believing an account is an official HX account.

3. Professional Profiles

Members may provide information such as:

  • name;
  • username;
  • profile image;
  • job title;
  • employer;
  • hotel or organization affiliation;
  • market;
  • professional discipline;
  • hospitality interests;
  • biography;
  • website; and
  • other professional information.

You are responsible for information you choose to publish.

Professional information displayed on HX is generally user-provided unless specifically marked as verified.

HX does not guarantee that unverified profile information is accurate.

4. Verification

HX may offer verification for:

  • member identity;
  • professional affiliation;
  • hotels or properties;
  • organizations; and
  • organization-control authority.

Verification means only that HX reviewed the applicable identity, organization, or affiliation using the verification process available at the time.

Verification does not mean that HX:

  • endorses the person or organization;
  • guarantees expertise;
  • recommends the person or organization;
  • guarantees the truth of future statements;
  • guarantees business performance; or
  • guarantees that verified information will never change.

HX may revoke verification when information changes, verification is no longer supportable, control changes, or verification was obtained improperly.

Verification is not sold as a status product.

5. User Content

HX allows members and authorized organizations to submit content, including:

  • posts;
  • replies;
  • comments;
  • photographs;
  • profile information;
  • organization information;
  • Jobs;
  • People Moves;
  • links;
  • reports;
  • and other materials.

You retain ownership of content you lawfully own.

By posting content on HX, you grant HX a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, reproduce, display, format, distribute, and technically process that content as necessary to operate, secure, display, promote, and improve HX.

This license ends when the content is deleted from HX, subject to:

  • reasonable backup and archival periods;
  • legal obligations;
  • security and audit retention;
  • content shared or reposted by others;
  • moderation or dispute evidence; and
  • other lawful retention requirements.

You represent that you have the right to publish the content you submit.

6. Public Content

Certain HX content may be publicly accessible without signing in, including some:

  • profiles;
  • posts;
  • organization pages;
  • hotel pages;
  • Jobs;
  • People Moves;
  • topic pages;
  • market pages; and
  • Hospitality Pulse information.

Do not publish information you expect to remain private.

7. Organizations and Hotels

HX may allow hotels, management companies, ownership groups, brands, vendors, associations, and other hospitality organizations to maintain pages.

A page may be:

  • unclaimed;
  • claimed;
  • managed by authorized users; or
  • verified.

Claiming or managing a page does not automatically mean the organization is verified.

Users authorized to act for an organization are responsible for ensuring that they have authority to:

  • edit organization information;
  • publish as the organization;
  • manage organization roles;
  • publish Jobs;
  • submit People Moves; and
  • perform other organization actions.

HX may remove organization access when authority is disputed or no longer supported.

8. Jobs

HX may allow authorized organizations to publish hospitality job opportunities.

HX is not an employer, staffing agency, recruiter, employment agency, or applicant tracking system unless expressly stated for a specific service.

HX generally does not:

  • employ candidates;
  • guarantee job availability;
  • guarantee compensation;
  • verify every employment statement;
  • guarantee employer conduct;
  • guarantee applicant qualifications; or
  • make hiring decisions.

Job seekers are responsible for evaluating opportunities before applying.

Employers are responsible for:

  • job accuracy;
  • compensation representations;
  • legal compliance;
  • application procedures;
  • employment practices; and
  • maintaining current job status.

HX may remove Jobs that appear fraudulent, misleading, expired, unlawful, discriminatory, spammy, or otherwise inconsistent with HX rules.

External application links are operated by third parties.

HX is not responsible for third-party application systems.

9. People Moves

People Moves allow hospitality professionals and authorized organizations to share professional changes such as:

  • new roles;
  • promotions;
  • transfers;
  • leadership appointments;
  • professional recognition; and
  • other voluntary professional updates.

HX does not automatically publish employment changes merely because a profile is edited.

People Moves involving another HX member may require that member’s confirmation.

You may not use People Moves to publish sensitive or inappropriate employment information, including:

  • involuntary termination;
  • disciplinary action;
  • medical leave;
  • demotion;
  • private employment disputes; or
  • other sensitive human-resources information.

HX may remove a People Move that is inaccurate, unauthorized, invasive of privacy, misleading, or otherwise violates our rules.

10. Hospitality Pulse

Hospitality Pulse displays activity occurring inside HX.

Pulse may show information such as:

  • active topics;
  • rising topics;
  • active markets;
  • conversations receiving increased participation;
  • People Moves activity; and
  • Jobs activity.

Hospitality Pulse is not a representation of the overall hospitality industry.

It is not:

  • hotel-demand forecasting;
  • market-performance data;
  • financial advice;
  • investment advice;
  • sentiment analysis;
  • representative industry research; or
  • a guarantee that an activity trend exists outside HX.

11. Personalized Recommendations

HX may personalize feeds and recommendations using structured HX activity, including:

  • profiles;
  • follows;
  • topics;
  • markets;
  • pinned feeds;
  • saves;
  • likes;
  • replies;
  • organization follows;
  • explicit “show more” or “show less” actions;
  • hides;
  • mutes; and
  • other HX interactions.

Members may have controls for personalization, including hiding content, muting topics, or resetting certain personalization preferences.

Personalization does not guarantee completeness or relevance.

12. Prohibited Conduct

You may not use HX to:

  • threaten or harass others;
  • promote hatred or targeted abuse;
  • impersonate another person or organization;
  • engage in fraud or scams;
  • distribute malware;
  • phish for credentials;
  • publish unlawful content;
  • reveal private information without authorization;
  • spam users;
  • manipulate engagement;
  • create artificial followers or interactions;
  • operate deceptive accounts;
  • interfere with HX systems;
  • probe or exploit security vulnerabilities without authorization;
  • scrape HX in violation of these Terms or applicable law;
  • bypass rate limits;
  • circumvent moderation;
  • misuse Jobs;
  • publish fraudulent People Moves;
  • infringe intellectual property rights; or
  • otherwise violate the HX Community Rules.

13. Artificial Engagement

You may not artificially manufacture:

  • likes;
  • replies;
  • follows;
  • reposts;
  • views;
  • recommendations;
  • verification;
  • Jobs;
  • People Moves;
  • engagement metrics; or
  • other social proof.

Automated or coordinated manipulation may result in content removal, restrictions, or suspension.

14. Vendors and Commercial Activity

Hospitality vendors may participate in HX.

Vendors must accurately represent who they are.

Vendors may discuss products and services in appropriate contexts but may not:

  • spam members;
  • repeatedly post unsolicited promotions;
  • impersonate customers;
  • fabricate endorsements;
  • manipulate conversations; or
  • use HX primarily for unsolicited bulk solicitation.

15. Moderation

HX may moderate content and accounts to protect the service and its users.

Moderation actions may include:

  • warning;
  • content removal;
  • posting restriction;
  • social restriction;
  • organization-publishing restriction;
  • temporary suspension;
  • indefinite suspension;
  • organization restriction;
  • Job removal;
  • People Move removal; and
  • other proportionate actions.

HX does not use hidden moderator-controlled “shadow bans” as a formal enforcement action.

Moderation decisions may consider:

  • reported content;
  • context;
  • account history;
  • repeated violations;
  • security signals;
  • spam patterns; and
  • other relevant information.

A report is a signal for review and is not automatically proof of wrongdoing.

16. Appeals

Certain moderation actions may be appealable.

Where an appeal is available, the affected user may submit an appeal through the applicable HX process.

HX may:

  • uphold;
  • modify;
  • reverse; or
  • close

an appealed action.

Abuse of the appeals system may be limited.

17. Blocking and Muting

HX may allow members to block or mute other users or topics.

Blocking, muting, and platform moderation are separate systems.

HX cannot guarantee that blocking or muting eliminates all references to another person from every public or aggregated context.

18. Reports

Members may report content or accounts believed to violate HX rules.

Reports should be made in good faith.

Submitting intentionally false or abusive reports may itself violate these Terms.

HX does not guarantee a particular enforcement outcome after a report.

19. Intellectual Property

HX, SalesHospitality, and their licensors own the HX platform, including:

  • software;
  • interface designs;
  • branding;
  • logos;
  • original editorial content;
  • system architecture;
  • documentation; and
  • other protected materials,

excluding member-owned content.

You may not copy, reproduce, distribute, reverse engineer, or commercially exploit HX platform materials except as permitted by law or written authorization.

20. Copyright Complaints

If you believe content on HX infringes your copyright, contact:

support@getonhx.com

Provide sufficient information for HX to identify:

  • the copyrighted work;
  • the allegedly infringing material;
  • your contact information;
  • your good-faith belief regarding infringement; and
  • your authority to make the request.

HX may request additional information before acting.

21. Third-Party Links and Services

HX may contain links to:

  • employer sites;
  • organization sites;
  • hotel sites;
  • application systems;
  • articles;
  • services; and
  • other third-party resources.

HX does not control third-party services.

Your use of third-party services is governed by those providers’ terms and policies.

22. Availability

HX may change, suspend, limit, or discontinue features.

We do not guarantee:

  • uninterrupted availability;
  • permanent storage of every item;
  • uninterrupted email delivery;
  • specific feed placement;
  • search-engine indexing;
  • recommendation placement; or
  • particular traffic or engagement.

23. Security

HX uses technical and operational safeguards intended to protect the platform, but no system is completely secure.

You agree not to attempt unauthorized access or security testing without written authorization.

If you identify a security issue, contact:

support@getonhx.com

24. Account Restrictions and Termination

HX may restrict or suspend access when reasonably necessary for:

  • violation of these Terms;
  • Community Rules violations;
  • fraud;
  • security risks;
  • legal requirements;
  • repeated abuse; or
  • protecting HX or other users.

Where appropriate, users may receive notice and an opportunity to appeal.

Users may stop using HX at any time.

Account deactivation or deletion may be subject to reasonable retention for security, legal, moderation, and audit purposes.

25. No Professional Advice

Content on HX may discuss:

  • hotel operations;
  • sales;
  • revenue management;
  • technology;
  • employment;
  • ownership;
  • finance;
  • legal topics;
  • business strategy; and
  • other professional matters.

HX content is provided for general informational and professional discussion purposes.

HX does not provide legal, accounting, tax, investment, employment, medical, or other regulated professional advice unless expressly stated in a separate engagement.

26. Disclaimers

HX IS PROVIDED ON AN “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” BASIS TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW.

  • your violation of these Terms;
  • your infringement of third-party rights; or
  • your misuse of organization authority.

This obligation does not apply where prohibited by law.

29. Changes to These Terms

HX may update these Terms as the service changes.

When material changes are made, HX may provide notice through:

  • the platform;
  • email;
  • an updated effective date; or
  • another reasonable method.

Continued use after updated Terms become effective constitutes acceptance where permitted by law.

30. Severability

If part of these Terms is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain effective to the extent permitted by law.

31. No Waiver
